In our culture we need a reason to grieve, feel joy, we try and explain our pain away. The mystics, and my own experience of losing loved ones, has taught me that the pain is a worthy guest. A doorway to the depths of your love and most soul satisfying expression and service too,

WE NEED TO WRITE AND HEAR WHAT IS INSIDE US OUTSIDE!

We are wired for attachment when we are very little, and grief work has to do with the trauma of the heart chakra, intimacy and how willing we are to relate.

If we never surrender to our pain, we keep ourselves from feeling the love we deserve. I know It’s not easy to do, or always possible even, we work in layers, but it is possible with the right acceptance and acknowledgment.

Grieving has a place at our table as the fierce, and ultimately loving, wise teacher.

We often feel like an outsider or outcasted when we feel anything tender in the heart at all in a world where vulnerability is just started to be seen as a power.

Grief, like most great things in life, has no expiration within us while we remain in these beautiful, complex and wild human incarnations.

There is Shakti, a power that gets awakened in you when you are initiated into the land of loss. It feels similar to being confused, in the fog and mist of unknown and uncertainty, but it is much less disconnected from reality than we credit ourselves and others for being when they are grieving.

You become much more in tune with reality, meaning awake to the sustenance of life as it is here in this dimension on Earth.
